Burlington Rotary Club supports Meals on Wheels for SeniorsOn Sunday, June 14, the Burlington Rotary Club will host a sanctioned 5K Road Race/Walk for the benefit of Minuteman Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels program, which serves 18 local communities. The proceeds from the event will also help fund the Rotary Club’s charitable programs, according to club past-president John Tuccinardi of Federal Heating.
The Road Race/Walk begins and ends at Burlington High School. Registration is $15 per person online: www.minutemansenior.org or www.burlingtonrotary.org, or $20 the day of the race.
An invitation to play in the 21st Annual Winchester Rotary Golf Tournament
The event takes place at the Winchester Country Club on Monday, May 18, with registration and practice facilities opening at 10:30 a.m. The shotgun start is 12:30 p.m. and includes a barbecue lunch and concludes with a silent auction and buffet dinner.
The proceeds from the event help support Winchester Rotary Club’s grants to Mission of Deeds, McCall Middle School Extracurricular Activities, Sachem Youth Baseball/Softball Association, Inc., Winchester Community Music School, Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence, Inc., Winchester Historical Society and Winchester Public Library, as well as Hands on Disaster Response and USA Cares, nationally; and Polio Eradication, internationally.
