The Refrigerant

As you may know, Freon-22 and other refrigerants are being phased out and are no longer manufactured because of their damage to the stratospheric ozone. On September 21, 2007, some 200 countries, including the U.S., agreed to accelerate the elimination of hydrochlorofluorocarbons entirely by 2020 in a United Nations-sponsored Montreal summit. Developing nations were given until 2030.

One of the most popular replacement refrigerants is Puron^®, which is environmentally sound and safe.
