Federal Heating is a locally-owned family business

Our company was founded in 1951 by Al LaPointe, who included "engineering" in our name.—Federal Heating & Engineering Co., Inc. He wanted it to be it clear that knowledge and expertise were his company's strengths and its commitment to deliver maximum performance for its customers.

At a time when home heating oil was $.20 a gallon, conservation was a priority with Al LaPointe and Federal Heating. Before others were doing Efficiency Tests, they were an integral part of Federal Heating's service to its customers.

We install and service heating and central air conditioning equipment and deliver home heating oil to families in 27 communities North of Boston.

Unlike many home heating oil and central air conditioning companies, Federal Heating has its own service and installation technicians who are specially trained to work in homes.
